What database is used by Canadian Immigration to screen visitors?
I’m a US citizen who was recently denied entry to Canada for a camping trip. Does anyone know how they get our data, and what that data entails? Is it only convictions (as they Canadian immigration web site states), or do they get a complete record of any and all arrests?
Has anyone used a UK consultancy firm to immigrate to Canada? Who did you use and would you recommend them?
We are UK citizens currently living in the US on L1 visas and want to immigrate to Canada this year.
Where can I find the film the Canadian Embassy used in 1970 to attract immigrants to Canada?
My family emigrated from England to Canada in 1972. This emigration was, in part, inspired by a film we were shown (along with other prospective emigrants) at the Canadian Embassy in London, England in 1970. The film, probably made in the 1960s, showed how wonderful life was in Canada. One scene in particular I remember was a blissfully happy family driving in their station wagon back home after grocery shopping. They entered their beautiful house and then put away the groceries — I remember the big, red steaks being stored in the freezer in the basement….
I would love to get a copy of this film, if anyone can help me locate it!
