I will be traveling from the lower states through Canada and up to Alaska. While in Canada, are pets required to be in a kennel (or behind a barrier) while traveling in a vehicle?

My dog is usually just sitting in the back of my Jeep.

We are going to Canada and my spouse is a United States Permanent Resident. What do we need to bring to travel to Canada? I am asking pertaining to both of us. I am a US Citizen. I checked the official sites, but couldn’t find what I was looking for pertaining to my spouse specifically. We are traveling in the end of the month. I have a Scotia Bank account in BC. I am going to be traveling across the line for some fall shopping. Can I use my debit card in the states although its from Canada? Do I have to contact my bank and make specifications, will it work at all cause the currency difference? Help I’m so confused.
