Immigrating to Canada? How much money should I save?
I’m going to be immigrating to Canada if all goes according to plan in about 1 1/2 years. I have dual citizenship with the US and Canada, and would like to return to Canada to start a life there. My question is: How much money should I save between now and then to ensure that I can settle comfortably? I intend to have a job lined up , but essentially show up with the clothes on my back, a few boxes, my cat, and my car. Since I have no canadian credit history how much of a deposit will I be required to make on an apartment? Any links, resources, or personal experience would be greatly appreciated
