I am in my final year of study of a postgraduate social work degree, and wish to emigrate to Canada when I qualify. Does anyone know how much work experience would be needed, and whether British social work qualifications are accepted in Canada? Has anyone did this before, and you did you find it? I’m planning on a road trip to Canada Dec. 29th, I applied for my passport today (because we just decided this last night and I’m the only one without a passport) the guy at the post office obviously told me even expedited it might not get to me in time, but he said if we’re driving all I have to do is present them with a proof of citizenship, drivers license, and proof of passport application. Is that true? If that’s not true, can I at least get into Canada?

What exactly do I need? This is the first time I’m traveling to some place outside of Canada and I am 16 so I’m guessing that I’m old enough to travel by myself right? All that I know right now is that I need a bit more money.
