presented by the Fredericton Playhouse Spotlight Series Saturday, April 10, 2010 Laughter, tears and triumphsall in one suitcase! Seasons of Immigration is a one-act play that begins with the decision to leave the homeland and move to the western world, the land of freedom and opportunity. Each character discovers that immigration to Canada involves an immediate confrontation with not only the cold and vastness of the land, but the pursuit to prove ones self in this fast-paced lifestyle. They face turmoil as they go through the steps of leaving their country, flying to Canada, the complexities of landing and entering customs, and moving into a new community and culture. Seasons of Immigration hits a familiar note for many families that have been welcomed into our community over the years, and will open the eyes of those who have been here all along.
