Canadian Immigration Options?

I need to immigrate to Canada in the next 2 years. I am going to be 22 soon. I have $15,000.00 to bring with me to have a new start in Canada. I wantto study in Canada but Can Not Afford the tuition unless I’m a Canadian Permanent Resident (or Citizen). I would need to work in Canada. If I am a permnanent Resident, life would be easier to transition into. However, I wouldn’t really score enough points on the Skilled Worker area, I have no family in Canada, and I wouldn’t go to Canada asa Temporary Worker or a Study Visa because my life would be overly complicated and I wouldn’t be able to afford it. What are my options for easier immigration?

I want to go to British Columbia or Alberta
I want to Study in British Columbia
I want to work in the Hotel/Tourism industry
I might like the Agriculture Industry (mostly raising plants)
I would work on a farm for 2-3 years if it meant I’d be a resident
I would be willing to do service in the Canadian navy or some other sector if it meant residency
I would like to work/settle in British Columbia, Alberta, maybe Ontario.
I am an American

Can anyone tell me what my chances are to be approved and the best options for immigration?

We have friends over in Toronto who are willing to support us and help us find a shared new life there. Given this opportunity we want to move after saving a bit by latest end of January. Can anyone advise further? Cost of living, visa’s, prospects and cost.

Why is it when I want to sms from ymail, only options for home country are 4:USA, India, Canada & Philippines?

I tried sending text message from my new Yahoo (@ymail) address. A dialogue box asked me to select my home country 1st. Problem is, only 4 countries are displayed: USA, India, Canada & Philippines. I’m in Kenya. Is it that the sms service is not available in the other countries unavailable on the list? If someone at Yahoo is reading, I’d love an answer.
