IL Gatto Nero – A little Italy in Toronto, Ontario
Visit our site: www.greatcanadianadventuretour.com At the corner of College & Crawford streets in Toronto’s little Italy is where you will find IL Gatto Nero. Translated to ‘the black cat’ it is one of the original Italian restaurants in Toronto that was opened during the influx of Italian immigrants to Canada at the turn of the 20th century. Michael Raviele whose Dad opened the restaurant says that there could be up to one million Italians and descendants in Toronto which contributes to the family atmosphere for which it is known. Michael is a proud Canadian-Italian and pleased to be carrying on his families’ tradition and business. We stopped in on a soggy rainy day, the perfect excuse for a strong, rich beaker of espresso. The cozy atmosphere, complemented by the Italian food and paraphernalia adorning the walls welcomed us with open arms. Pizza, pasta, Lavazza coffee, and Peroni beer, are just a few classics on the menu and you can even get a homemade Grappa to top off your Italian experience. Toronto is one of the world’s most multi cultural cities and the Italian ‘village’ is just one example of the cultural diversity. IL Gatto Nero even had a Bangladeshi barrista which perfectly exemplified Toronto’s incredible cultural mix. Next time you are in need of a proper coffee fix or wanting to brush up on your Italian stop into IL Gatto Nero. It’s a great place to spend a rainy afternoon! I want to start a soulfood farm in southern Canada.
The crops I will grow are:
Greens
Sweet Potatoes
Does these 2 crops grow well in Southern Canada?
And my product will be called Canadian grown greens, and Canadian grown yams.
I will move to Ontario after two months, should I apply Citizenship of Canada right now as Im in Quebec?
I am permanent resident of Canada and my Citizenship application is due now. Can I apply for citizenship right now and later change address to Ontario? Will that result in delaying my application process?
