Emigrating to Canada from UK in October during Grade 12?
Hi, I’m taking Business Studies (A), Maths (B), English Language (A) and Biology (A) at AS level. (Predicted grades in brackets). We hope to move to Nova Scotia in the October this year, therefore, will transfer from College here to a high school there. I understand that 4 AS’s at grade C and above mean you can be considered into Dalhousie University, however, I wish to go high school there so that I can better integrate and understand the workings better. If I transfer during Grade 12, will I be able to get a qualification from the high school their? I don’t like the thought of not achieving something. Thanks for your help. 🙂
Actually, it’s Year 13!
Emigrate to Canada for October?
Hi. I’ve been Canada several times this year and love the country and really see myself working and living there with my family. Specifically Calgary. I’m English and am going to contact a few recruiters later this week to apply in a sales manager position and hope to be working in Canada from October. I’m either hoping that the employer will sort out the emigration process and help me reach permanent status or to be nominated by Alberta with a job offer. I’m willing to fly over to conduct any interviews that may be neccessary. Would it be feasible to have a job offer, then as the province sponsers me, work on a temporary work permit before I reach permanent status? I know that this is allowed in Nova Scotia and hope this shouldn’t be a problem in Calgary. Thanks for your help and I can’t wait to become a Calgarian. 🙂
I’m 42, have 20 years experience, much in a managerial role as regional sales manager. Studying MBA and wishing to continue this in Calgary. 🙂
Sorry, I meant interviews for a job offer, then gain a temporary visa and then work. I had no problem processing into Nova Scotia for sales management position, however, Alberta looks more viable in terms of it’s economic stability. Sales management is also on the ‘in demand’ list and qualifies for provincial sponsorship. I’m also only going to target large companies, many of whom deal with the immigration process constantly. Thanks again for your help and sorry for being a little unclear at first.
My interview for migration to Canada was done in October 2005.But I have not got the result yet why?
The Immigration Officer, after interview told me the result would be informed within 2 months. Now it is 11 months after the interview was done. Why it is in pending for long time without publishing the result. My application is still in process. So how long to wait for result?
