I am a British Citizen travelling from Heathrow to Toronto, Canada but it’s a non-direct flight and I have to change planes in the US. Do I just apply for the online ESTA and will that cover me? What address do I enter as I’m not staying in the US? Or is there another form?

I need to send a digital camera to India from Canada. I don’t know if there are some restrictions on sending electronics from Canada to India. What is the best way to this? I hope India Government do restricts imported electronics good to India as gifts.

I am an American citizen living in Canada and applying for Canadian perment residency so I need a police certificate from the state of California. I went to the website (http://ag.ca.gov/fingerprints/index.php) and it said that I need to provide the fingerprint card, fee and the request letter I received from immigration Canada. I called the bureau at the number from the website and it had a recording which said I need to have special forms mailed to me.

Can I get the police certificate by just sending the fingerprint card, fee and request letter from immigration Canada or do I need to submit the request using the forms from the California Department of Justice?

I want to immigrate to Canada, I completely know the rules but decided to hire a lawyer because my first language is not English or French and i don’t want to have grammer errors in my application!!! Do u have any solution for me? Do u recommend hiring an attorney? Do u know a good attorney?

A friend will be travelling from Thailand to New York on a Burmese passport and she has options for the route. 1) via Hong Kong and Vancouver 2) via Narita (Tokyo) and San Francisco. Lets saying someone who was born in raised in the states, but wanted to move up to Canada. This american would be living in the residence of a Canadian family.

What would legal papers/otherwise would the American need? Assuming he/she was over 18

My husband is a Canadian and to be honest, he doesn’t make a lot of money. I know, it sounds mean…but it’s the truth. We applied for family class, sponsorship, but they told us that we don’t have enough money so he can’t sponsor me.
Now I want to work in Canada. I can try my best to help to support both of us, so I’d like to know what kind of skills or degrees do I need in order for me to immigrate to Canada faster and easier. I don’t want to be a burden for him. We are married and I love him, so I want to work this out together.
I’m currently in Japan, working so we could save up again for next time we want to apply. I can’t see my husband and this is hard for me, so I want to go to Canada as fast as I can to be with him.
