Canadian Immigration Options?

Posted May 17th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

I need to immigrate to Canada in the next 2 years. I am going to be 22 soon. I have $15,000.00 to bring with me to have a new start in Canada. I wantto study in Canada but Can Not Afford the tuition unless I’m a Canadian Permanent Resident (or Citizen). I would need to work in Canada. If I am a permnanent Resident, life would be easier to transition into. However, I wouldn’t really score enough points on the Skilled Worker area, I have no family in Canada, and I wouldn’t go to Canada asa Temporary Worker or a Study Visa because my life would be overly complicated and I wouldn’t be able to afford it. What are my options for easier immigration?

I want to go to British Columbia or Alberta
I want to Study in British Columbia
I want to work in the Hotel/Tourism industry
I might like the Agriculture Industry (mostly raising plants)
I would work on a farm for 2-3 years if it meant I’d be a resident
I would be willing to do service in the Canadian navy or some other sector if it meant residency
I would like to work/settle in British Columbia, Alberta, maybe Ontario.
I am an American

Can anyone tell me what my chances are to be approved and the best options for immigration?

Immigration to England question. Please answer?

Posted May 1st, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

I asked this question before and got 2 answers: both were the “stay at home and don’t come here” type. My sister is due on Sept 28 with a son fathered by a British citizen residing in South Africa. She met him while they were in rehab together. Both have been sober for almost 2 yrs now. My sister returned to Canada at the beginning of May. Her boyfriend had planned on returning to England. My sister is on Social Services in Canada and as such, cannot sponsor anyone through immigration (fiance or spousal). She will not return to South Africa as neither of them wish to raise a child there. He is coming in August for the last part of the pregnancy and can only stay up to 6 months on a visitor visa. The question was (and is) can he return to England and sponsor her in to the country after he attains work (he’s a chef with papers) as a fiancee or spouse if they marry here in Canada. Thanks 🙂
