International student holding F-1 visa in the US visiting Canada?
I’m a Romanian citizen currently holding F-1 status in the US and planning to visit my cousins in Canada (Canadian residents) for Christmas. I attend school in Hawaii and there is no Canadian consulate here. From what I understand, the closest embassy/consulate of Canada is about 2500 miles away in California. What are the options of obtaining a tourist visa without having to travel to California in order to get my visa. Is there a required interview?
Is it possible to emigrate to the US or Canada while holding a settlement visa?
My husband is Moroccan and in the UK with a settlement visa he received recently.
We would like to move to the US or Canada one day (the sooner the better). Is it ok for us to apply for emigration visas while he has a settlement visa for the UK?
I understand he is supposed to wait for 2 years and apply for ILR, but this is a long time and expensive given we don’t actually want to settle in the UK.
Thanks
I’m a Canadian citizen holding a US Greencard. Is it ok to leave the country for a whole month for vacation?
I have a permanent Greencard (ie: the 2 year probation has ended). I would like to visit my family in Canada for a month. I understand that the US Immigration services frown upon Greencard holders leaving US soil for long stretches of time.
