Do I need to hire alawyer for Immigration to Canada?

I want to immigrate to Canada, I completely know the rules but decided to hire a lawyer because my first language is not English or French and i don’t want to have grammer errors in my application!!! do u recommend hiring an attorney? do u know a good attorney?

Some tell me that an immigration lawyer isn’t necessary, since he will not be able to make the process go any faster. Others say it makes a lot of sense to use a lawyer since this is his area of expertise and i need to make sure everything is done perfectly.

I am an IT manager and am interested in a permanent residency in Canada. I hear contradicting views on whether to hire a lawyer or just go to the government website and do the process myself. there is a good $3000 saving if I do it on my own. so is it worth it to hire a lawyer or representative to do the application for you?
