Can anyone, please, offer the emigration requirements in Canada?

My husband and I are an international couple (Dutch and American/English) and have a great affinity for Canada. We are seriously interested in making a life in a country we have come to seriously love and respect. And while we love America we feel it is time to have a more even balance in our lives. As we are in our late forties (he a plumber/welder, and she a florist) and have a small dog and possible my Mum (if she’ll come), is there any opportunity to emigrate at this time?

Product Description
Around 1825, the point at which emigration generally (and to Canada in particular) began to be seen as a cure for widespread poverty and joblessness in England, certain English writers began arguing that the vocation of middle-class emigrants was to recreate the English class system in Canada by becoming a new landed gentry. Carter Hanson calls this “the ideology of the landed vocation.” Emigration, Nation, Vocation explores how and why this ideology gained currency… More >>

Photos of my trip to Grosse île, Québec, Canada – Summer 2006. It served as an immigration station for Canada during a horrid time when Ireland was gripped by famine in 1847 and emigrants headed for North America in search of a better life. This is their story. Can I on emigration from Canada get a lump sum or transfer of my CPP.?

Posted April 23rd, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

I have been working in Canada on a temporary work visa for 2 years. My visa is finishing soon and I will return to NZ. On leaving Canada can I get a pay out of the monies paid into CPP or transferred to another pension plan in NZ. Having paid into the scheme for only 2 years I do not think I am eligible for a pension anyway and if so the pay out would be minimal.

What should I know about Denmark to Canada emigration procedures?

Specifically, what does the law says about procedures to follow for a Danish citizen moving permanently to Canada?

Where should he start? What papers does he need, from Canada, and Denmark? What can he do to get a Visa quickly, or to pass the citizenship test when he gets to Canada? Would it accelerate the entire procedure by obtaining a marriage license while in Canada?

I have heard of the concept of an international “invitation” that a citizen can send to someone in another country, to fast-track their passage into the inviter’s country. Is this the case for Canada and Denmark?
