How do me and my family go about emigrating to Australia or Canada?

Posted June 1st, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

My parents are thinking about emigrating. They haven’t yet descided where to, but they know it’s between either Canada or Australia. We have looked up what needs to be done on the internet but it’s all far to confusing. It would be much appreciated if some one understand it and can explain in there own words what needs to be done, or to hear from some one who has emigrated themself. Thank you =]

If emigrating to Canada, would my credit history be given merit by financial institutions?

Posted May 6th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

When opening bank accounts, applying for credit cards, etc., will my credit history be taken into consideration prior to entry into Canada?

Note: I’m not talking about the emigration process, I’m referring to credit scoring issues only, and whether or not foreign nationals are given merit for previous history when making new financial arrangements or agreements in Canada.

Possibly emigrating to Canada in the future – suggestions?

Posted April 22nd, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

Hi all.
I am 18 years old and live in the UK. I have unfortunetly been very ill for the last 3 or 4 years with Lyme disease – it’s a long story, but basically I was misdiagnosed for a long time, so the infection has spread and it is proving very difficult to eradicate. I should hopefully be better within the next 18 months or so though.
Now being ill all this time has enabled me to think clearly and plan my life out. I have decided that I would really like to emigrate to another country, Canada being my favourite. I have many reason for wanting to emigrating from the UK and I won’t go into details here.
Because I have been so ill, I have been unable to finish my education and have been learning at home.
I am not sure if I should stay here in the UK and finish my education, or move to Canada to study there, then live there as a citizen – I don’t know if that’s possible?
I am undecided which provice, etc. I would like to live in and would appreciate some suggestions.

Is it true that if i am succesfull in emigrating to Canada that i can live and work in USA forever?

Id heard that once you have been accepted for immigation into Canada you can then work and live in the USA for as long as you like as they are closely linked. Is this true?

I suspect its probably not as they are both seperate countries.

How to go about Emigrating to Canada?

Posted March 25th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

Hi,

My roommates and I are seriously considering emigrating to Canada for political and climate reasons. We’re American, living in California. How would we go about emigrating to Canada and obtaining their equivalent of a Green Card? I have family there, and aunt and uncle, living in Toronto, but we have our eyes on Vancouver and vicinity. We’re all in our mid to late 20s and we have good IT job skills, but no college degrees. Would it be possible for us to emigrate and move to Canada? What would be the process for doing so, and how should we get started in exploring that option. Thanks!
