I am currently in US and I have a company registered here. I may have a business deal with a Canadian company very soon. I will be providing them a few people to work on their projects. Do I need to register my company in Canada for this? Thanks !! Any info appreciated.

If a US citizen, who works for a US company, often needs to visit Canada for work, is a work permit required ?
My husband is a US citizen, and we live and work in the US. He often has to go to Canada for business (to service contractors who buy his product). Technically, he is not doing any “paid” work in Canada but last time he crossed the border the Canadian border patrol told him next time he will need a work permit. Anybody knows what kind of permit they were talking about?
