Claudio Ghirardo, 2009 MARTY award finalist
The Mississauga Arts Council interviews established visual artist Claudio Ghirardo. Claudio was a finalist for the 2009 MARTY awards. Claudio Ghirardo decided to become a comic book artist while living in Italy as a child. After emigrating to Canada, he continued to study art through high school, at Sheridan Collage and at the Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art. A visit to the Museum of Modern Art widened his perspective of art. Now focusing on painting and illustration, Claudio is apart of a five member collaborative art group The Art Fuzionists.
