i applied for this form for my son who was born and lives outside canada. i was told this will take only 3 months to process. i called the CIC call center at the end of the three months and was told to wait 2 more months. after five months, i was told it takes 7 months. 10 months now and i’ve just been told i had filled out the wrong forms. After 10 months??? they could have told me earlier! anybody knows how or who to turn to for help on this? any help or suggestions will be very much appreciated. BTW, i am a canadian citizen.

If someone came to Canada, worked illegally for a few months, then got married, then obtained residency and finally obtained citizenship, what are possible consequences this person could face if the authorities find out about it at this point? What is the likelyhood that they would enforce them?

I’ve known people who lived and worked in America that were still a citizen in Canada, and pretty sure wern’t here but have lived here for a long time. So how exactly does that work? Especially if i were to go to school up there?

I ponder, if it is possible for a child (born) in Canada, to get Canadian citizenship, while none of the parents has Canadian resident permit (or citizenship) and they are there for some business purpose.
Will the child automatically get the Canadian citizenship?
