Am I able to gain dual citizenship with Canada?

Posted November 9th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

I am a born American and have lived here all my life. My boyfriend is Canadian. I am looking to move to Vancouver (where he lives) on either a work or study visa. Marriage certainly a possibility, although not right away of course since we have only been dating ten months.

But if I was to marry him, would I gain dual citizenship in both the US and Canada? Or will I lose my US citizenship? Is there any way that I could gain citizenship to Canada without losing my US citizenship?
