vaild time lived in Canada before applying Canada citizenship?
i’m an intl student in the States and plan to apply Canada immigration. according to CIC website, 3 years residing in Canada is a must before applying citizenship.
i was told that when counting the vaild time lived in Canada, the time i lived in the States also counts, but timed by 0.5. i have been to CIC website but didn’t find info about it. Can anyone help me to verify this info?

Can american husband reside in Canada with canadian wife without applying permanent resident status? ?
My husband (american) and I (canadian) are marrried in US. Now I am moving back to Canada for school. We want to move together and currently he does not need to work in Canada because he will be working for U.S. company remotely. I noticed on the Immigration website it said that you can’t enter into an employment with a group that has contracted for your services, but our manager lives here!! It also says that you can’t perform for a movie, tv or radio broadcast, but we are definately going on the radio. None of this makes sense. Recently, CIC (Citizenship and Immigration of Canada) has changed some rules of immigration. There is a roamer among my friends that based of 2010 rules, a student in Canada is not allowed to apply for permanent residency (as a skill worker) while (s)he is in student status. I took a look at the news post but I did not find anything related to it. Is it true?
