emigration to the u.s or canada will be impossible for me, because ive had long term psychological problems, and i continue to work on them now…but the problem is, long term i dont want to stay in britain, i want to move away and build a new life…my heart was set on the u.s or canada….but if they wont let me in,
does anybody know where i could emigrate to thats a hot climate, deserts and things, beaches, and thats distant from the uk?
please dont say australia because i believe that will be a difficult place to emigrate to to…..id love to….but people keep telling me theres no way, because of my mental health history..

i came to the uk at 6 from france..(Saint-Paul de Vence)
but i want to move far away from britain to hot climate once ive worked on my psychological issues

My boyfriend (a Canadian) and I (American) want to eventually get married and both get dual citizenship, what?

Posted May 16th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

My boyfriend is from Montreal and I am from Virginia. We want to get married eventually and each get dual citizenship in the other country (Canada for me and the US for him). All the information I’ve read online is so overwhelming — travel visas, student visas, work visas, fiancee visas, green cards, permanent residency, naturalization, citizenship tests, Immigration officers, Immigration lawyers, Consulates, Canadian Embassy, US Embassy — I don’t know where to start. Can anyone familiar with the process give me a basic idea of what to do first? I know it’s all complicated and takes forever and I’m prepared for that.

American College student, thinking about future living in the UK, opinions?

Posted May 5th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

I’m am an electrical engineering student attending TN Tech University. Like anyone else I am thinking about my future after college and one thing I considered was possibly moving to the UK. A couple things made me consider this. I went to England last year my senior year of high school for choir and I absolutely, loved it, I had my 18th birthday there too. I’m also planning to study abroad for a semester next year in Scotland or England which will give me another idea about how I might like living there. Also, my main herritage is British. My Grandma is from Canada, and her mother immigrated from Britain years ago. I absolutely love the culture, and have been reading up on it a lot. Just a lot of stuff makes more sense, not that I don’t love the US either but.

Anyways, I guess what I’m really asking for is some opinions from maybe American’s who have moved there or from UK citizens. I know I’m only 19, but it’s never to early to think about your future.

Can an american get student loans to attend a graduate school program in Canada?

The american library association has masters degree programs in Library Sciences in Canada. I want to go because I want to eventually emigrate to Canada from the U.S. but I would need student loans to do it. Would I be able to receive those?
