Anybody know about immigration in canada?

Posted February 23rd, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

I have a friend that has moved from Mexico to Canada since 2002 with his family and applied as refugees. They got denied in their first hearing, so they appealed, and got denied again I believe, and now they got a card from immigration saying that they have to go to an interview at the airport. Does that mean they’re gonna leave that day?? Is there any chance for them to stay in Canada?

If my band wants to come from the States to perform in Canada, how do we go about applying for a visa?

I noticed on the Immigration website it said that you can’t enter into an employment with a group that has contracted for your services, but our manager lives here!! It also says that you can’t perform for a movie, tv or radio broadcast, but we are definately going on the radio. None of this makes sense. If you have done this before please advise on the process and what the rules and regulations are. Thanks.

P.s-I tried the hotline but it’s always busy.

What is a Landed Immigrant in Canada? If visiting Canada I decided to stay how would i go about it?From MExico.

I was wondering what a landed immigrant was exactly? Also, I am visiting Canada in a couple of weeks and if I decide to stay in Canada and live there how do I go about it? What exactly do I need to do to become a Permanent Resident? Is there certain amount of money i should have in order to have the process done faster? Thank to anyone who can point me in the right direction.

I’ve looked through a lot of info on the subject, but I’m not a “professional” or a buisness owner or anything like that. I’m just a guy who would like to move from the US to Canada. What do I need to do to make that happen?

Question about Immigration Lawyers?

Posted August 21st, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

Let’s say I live in the US but I want to move to Canada. I wanted to use an immigration lawyer to help me with the process. Should I contact an immigration in Canada? Or an immigration lawyer in the US?

Also, if I have to contact a Canadian immigration lawyer, does the lawyer need to be located in the city where I want to move? Let’s say I want to move to Vancouver BC but my immigration lawyer operates in Toronto?
