Does immigration go to people’s houses in Canada?
Do you know of anyone who has gotten married to someone who is from another country and they apply for permanent residency and then they live in Canada.. I know you have to go to an interview to determine if your marriage is real.
Is there only one interview and that is all? Or if they are suspicious do they make you keep going to more interviews in Canada?
Also do they show up at your house every now and then?
For how long do they do this?
Thank you
one more question.. when you sponser your spouse, do you have to be in Canada the whole time for those 3 years or whatever or can you travel to other places?

CANADIAN – How to find your Immigration Category Code?
I’m applying for loan for university and they ask me my Immigration Category Code.
I’m a permanent resident since 11 years.
Apparently, I can find it in “box 19 of your Record of Landing (IMM 1000) or Confirmation of Permanent Residence (IMM 5292) issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada.”
I can’t find these paperwork, and calling Service Canada or Immigration Canada is worse than trying to talk to someone at Bell.
So is there a way to access these information online, provided my Social Insurance Number?
thks
Emigrating to USA or Canada from England?
Ok, well I asked a similar question about this a while ago, I am going to be 15 in February and I have a dream. I am living in England, born and brought up in England, all my family are also in England.
And I would like to move to either Canada (Ontario) or America (Georgia – Atlanta) when I am older, they both seem like beautiful places, and I just love that part of the world. But I’m thinking that to make this come true, I will have to do well in School…blah blah blah lol. (So I am going to work hard in school as I’m already in my GCSE year) lol. Anyway, there’s SO much I need to know…
Like…
What I plan on doing is making my own business over there, a hairdressers. (Yes, I have taken hairdressing for GCSE).
But I don’t know what to do or anything, my mum said I should start off here in England, just being a normal hairdresser in someone else’s Salon, and through the years, progress up to being able to make my own business, and if it goes well, then move it to USA or Canada. Is this a good idea?
Plus, would I need to study USA in college or what ever to get over there?
Because I am not going to University because it’s too expensive, but I will be going to college.
Another thing is all this Visa stuff. I just don’t understand it. And I think that I should be starting to think of my future at my age anyway. So don’t just say something like “Learn about a visa when you’re older”.
And, do you think it is a good idea for this?
Going over there completely alone, all by myself? Because say if I need help, I have no one to fall back on. My best friend has said she would come with me, but you know best friends just being best friends, I don’t think she wants it as much as me, and I think when the time comes, she won’t want to come. So is it wise to go over there on my own? :/
And if there is anything else I need to know, can you tell me please? 🙂
Oh, and please don’t say negative things like
“Forget it, it would never happen”
‘Cause you just gotta dream&believe !! 🙂
Oh and Happy Christmas 😀
Oh, and something else I forgot to ask
Which Country do you think is better?
(To help me decide)
Haha 😀
Oh and why? 😛
What are the rules on traveling to Canada with a misdemeanor offense?
I have negligent endangerment offense from MT (misdemeanor) and was wondering if I would be denied entry if I wanted to travel to Canada.

Ed Broadbent’s Canada: More equal, more optimistic
Ed Broadbent, one of Canada’s most respected progressive sages, sat down with the CCPA’s Trish Hennessy to talk about the Canada he grew up in and how it’s changed over his lifetime. During this candid conversation — in Mr. Broadbent’s own Ottawa backyard — he reflects on the profound shift away from equality. When he was growing up, he says, “the name of the game was to have more and more equality.” It was an unstated assumption, and it was accepted by all the leaders of the main political parties when he was first elected to Parliament. Since then, he says: “We’ve had a terrible assault on democratic equality. Equality has, since the Greeks, been the key value associated with democracy.” See the video of his full interview here.
