Should Canada Open The Door Even Wider?

Posted February 27th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in immigrate to canada

No other country in the world accepts as many (per capita) immigrants and international refugees as does Canada. Is this a factor which contributes to this country’s economic (and democratic) success?
Unemployment amongst recent( within last 5 to ten years) newcomers is extremely high but this situation of “imported poverty” provides job security for the hundreds of thousands of people involved in the social benefit (and humanitarian) agencies (welfare and health workers, English language instruction teachers…)
Is massive people input the secret to the country’s success?
Should the country invite even more of the world’s poor and unskilled?

What Kind Of Skills Or Degree Would A Japanese Need In Order To Immigrate To Canada?

Posted February 27th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in immigrate to canada

My husband is a Canadian and to be honest, he doesn’t make a lot of money. I know, it sounds mean…but it’s the truth. We applied for family class, sponsorship, but they told us that we don’t have enough money so he can’t sponsor me.
Now I want to work in Canada. I can try my best to help to support both of us, so I’d like to know what kind of skills or degrees do I need in order for me to immigrate to Canada faster and easier. I don’t want to be a burden for him. We are married and I love him, so I want to work this out together.
I’m currently in Japan, working so we could save up again for next time we want to apply. I can’t see my husband and this is hard for me, so I want to go to Canada as fast as I can to be with him.
Thanks in advance!

What Is The Best Photography Career Route To Immigrate To Canada Or The Us?

Posted February 25th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in immigrate to canada

I’m trying to figure out what area of study to focus on, that will enable me to immigrate to Canada or the US.
My passion lays with photography, which isn’t exactly a career known for it’s immigration prospects. But I want to move abroad so I will bend my career focus around this goal.
What would be a good area to focus my photography studies on. I was thinking perhaps medical photography… as it’s related to health care and medicine which has good immigration prospects. Can anyone recommend this, or suggest another area of related study?

Don’t You Know That Canada Gets Her Share Of Illegal Immigrants, Too?

Posted February 24th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in immigrate to canada

Just so you know, Canada also gets illegal immigrants. In fact, we get the American military people who desert. We also get Mexicans and Central Americans from the US who run up to Canada when all their options run out in the US. Of course, we don’t get as many as the US because we don’t have as much population that they can disappear into, and we don’t have the employers who are willing to hire illegal immigrants, as the USA does. And, of course, our border is quite a bit further away for the Mexicans and Central Americans to get to. But, we also get the typical Asian, European, etc. who come over legally on visas and just stay after the visas expire. Don’t ask me how they survive, without the employers who hire illegals – I think lots of them live with and are supported by relatives who came here legally. However, our illegals do not have access to social services as they seem to be in the USA – no welfare, no medical, no education. Heck, our legal citizens cannot hardly get welfare!
