Single Mother Looking to Immigrate to Canada?

Posted April 22nd, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

Hi,
I’m a single mother, seperated from my husband. However, I’m not legally seperated. My husband does not want to apply for a legal seperation for the fear of societal stigma; however, he does not have any qualms about my plans to immigrate to Canada along with my 3-year-old daughter. He is pretty much willing to cooperate in this regard. Could anyone clariy how I can get Candian visa.

Many thanks

The american library association has masters degree programs in Library Sciences in Canada. I want to go because I want to eventually emigrate to Canada from the U.S. but I would need student loans to do it. Would I be able to receive those?

I am traveling to Canada. I have never flown before and am kinda scared. What should I expect?

I am traveling to Canada for the first time. I am doing an overnight flight. I am leaving Cleveland at 7pm…and flying into Boston. I am flying out of Boston in the AM. I don’t know what to expect at all, with security and such. I worried about taking my laptop. I can’t afford for it to get stolen. Should I really be worried? What is the security checkpoint like? What should I expect there? Also, do I have to get a hotel in Boston, or can I just stay in the airport?

Emigrating from the UK to Canada – Debt?

Posted April 20th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

Hi,

Myself, husband and son were supposed to emigrate to NB Canada about 2 years ago. We had enought equity in out house to pay off our debts, fund the move itself and also have a deposit for a property when we got there….Unfortunately due to the UK property market crashing we can no longer afford toi cover all of the above. HOWEVER we could still go if we didn’t pay our debts…this isn’t something I would even consider doing if we had any other choice but the way things stand we can’t afford to do both. My husband had a job offer and we had all our paperwork sorted out, all we were waiting for was to sell our house but the price we would get now is so much lower than 2 years ago….we can afford to live well once in Canada but I wanted to know if leaving debt here will affect anything in Canada, ie visa, citizenship, buying a house there, etc?

Many Thanks
