Emigrating to Canada/USA?

Posted February 9th, 2011 by immigratecanada and filed in Immigration to Canada

We are planning to emigrate in about 4 years time. I would like to go to New Hampshire in the US and my husband would like to go to Canada.
Can anyone tell me which is best and why. Also if anyone can suggest somewhere nice in Canada.
My ideas for where I want to live is not in the middle of a city or town but I would like somewhere within driving range of one. I would like a house surrounded by trees and fields and the next house is a 5-minute walk away. I want a house big enough for family and friends to come and stay whenever they like. I need a good school nearby for the children. My husband is a floor layer and I am an interior designer.
Temperature wise I want it to be warm in the summer and cold in the winter.
Any tips anyone???

How can an American Citizen ask for a Work Permit in Canada?

I have been researching this on the Internet extensively, it seems you need to have a Bachelor’s Degree or some sort of Highly Educated in demand Job in order to get a Canadian Work Permit. Can an average American Joe get a work permit? I work as a Chef in a Hotel, would that be a problem? I plan to work at the Hotels close to the International Airport by the Canadian border.

What exactly do I need to do to become a Permanent Resident? Is there certain amount of money i should have in order to have the process done faster? Thank to anyone who can point me in the right direction.
