Today begins the long weekend for most of us, and though Tuesday is our official day to commemorate Confederation or Canada Day, many are already joining the party..

How will you celebrate? Where in this vast land will you choose to spend time and how will you show your appreciation for life in one of the largest countries in the world? How will you celebrate being a part of Canada and being Canadian?

I’m months away from getting my ASCP medical technologist license in Ohio. I’ve been entertaining the idea of emigrating to Canada, however. So, Canadians, do you know anyone who works as an MT in Canada (better yet, Ontario)? What’s the salary? Work environment?

And a bonus to any non-MTs – what was your experience in moving from the US to Canada?

and can i still get one without having a job offer from a Canadian employer ?

on the canadian high commision website it says i do not need a police verification if im in canada but the immigration application was applied from india before i had any study permit. So Do i need to get it ? there is no info on the hamilton police station website for a police verification check for IMMIGRATION purposes.

My mother Anna Zsarnai, my father and I escaped from Hungary during the 1956 Revolution. My parents worked on a Communist work farm approximately 200 kilometers from Budapest, the capital of Hungary. When the Russian tanks rolled into the capital, thousands of people were killed. The exodus began and many fled the country before the borders were closed. Many were caught and many more imprisoned. Friends and family members were turning each other in and no one could be trusted. Women and children in the wagon, the men driving the wagon and one man scouting the road ahead on a motor cycle looking out for Russian tanks. After two days of traveling the main roads, our motor cycle lookout came back with warnings of Russian tanks up ahead. The following 2 days we traveled on dirt farm roads with no idea which direction we were going in. before i give my money I would like to know if they are legitimate

I have a friend that has moved from Mexico to Canada since 2002 with his family and applied as refugees. They got denied in their first hearing, so they appealed, and got denied again I believe, and now they got a card from immigration saying that they have to go to an interview at the airport. Does that mean they’re gonna leave that day?? Is there any chance for them to stay in Canada?
