Canadian Values?

My fiance and I, after we’re married, are moving to Canada (we live in Minnesota now).

We know all the benefits, Socialized medicine, the whole wonderful green movement you’ve got going on, but, what we dont know, and what we need to know, before we undertake the long and arduous journey of emmigration, is what values do canadians hold?
About things like abortion? the death penalty? gay rights?

And also, really, how is the medical treatment youre recieving?

Our motivator for moving is to find a better, safe, cleaner place to live in order to raise a family, and ive always had a deep respect for the ways Canada runs their country.
I’m not looking for a reason not to go, i just want to understand my new (and better) homeland before i make the move.
… I’m not insulting canada… but i can see where you’d get that from “I want to move to your great country.”

Can anyone, please, offer the emigration requirements in Canada?

Posted July 19th, 2010 by immigratecanada and filed in Uncategorized

My husband and I are an international couple (Dutch and American/English) and have a great affinity for Canada. We are seriously interested in making a life in a country we have come to seriously love and respect. And while we love America we feel it is time to have a more even balance in our lives. As we are in our late forties (he a plumber/welder, and she a florist) and have a small dog and possible my Mum (if she’ll come), is there any opportunity to emigrate at this time?

What are the criteria for immigrating to Canada?

My husband and I are thinking about immigrating to Canada in another 3 years. We are aged 28 and 27 respectively and have a 2 year old son. I have a BA in Mass Communication and 4 years experience as a Broadcast Jourmalist in Jamaica, and I am planning on doing my LLB (Law Degree) which will be completed in the next 3 years. My husband is also doing a BSc. in Banking and Finance. With such qualifications and experience, what’s the likelihood of our immigration applications being successful; the prospects avaliable for us to apply for jobs from here in Jamaica before we arrive in Canada while or before the immigration process is complete; what can we expect with regards to relocation, etc.
